If you’ve ever made big New Year’s goals only to forget about them by mid-January, this minisode is for you. In this fun mini episode of Adventures in Business, we dive into a creative, surprisingly effective way to approach goal-setting: turning your goals into a 2026 bingo card.
Why a 2026 Bingo Card?
Instead of a long, overwhelming list of goals, choose a handful of personal and professional goals and lay them out visually in a bingo-style grid. Each square represents something you want to accomplish. When you complete a row? You celebrate.
As Amani explains, it’s all about gamification: making goals visual, fun, and rewarding so you actually stick with them. Quick wins build momentum, and progress becomes something you can see. That’s a win!
Mandi vs. Amani: Bingo Card Edition
Mandi admits she was hesitant at first (in a classic Amani-Mandi dynamic), but once she jumped in (with a little help from ChatGPT), she was all in. She created a six-month bingo card focused on goals she could realistically accomplish by June 30, knowing priorities can shift over time.
Mandi’s 2026 Bingo Card
Some of Mandi’s bingo squares include:
Completing 12 bike rides (with new biking gear as the reward)
Writing 182 handwritten notes as part of a daily ritual
Attending two writing retreats
Getting on 12 stages (virtual or in-person)
Submitting her final book manuscript to her publisher
Completing her creative space at home
Each goal comes with a built-in reward. Celebrating small wins is important to building momentum!
Amani’s 2026 Bingo Card
Amani’s bingo card mixes growth, health, creativity, and a few uncomfortable-but-important adulting tasks. His goals include:
Reconnecting with old friends
Performing at a live improv show
Visiting a foreign country and a new U.S. state
Completing a colonoscopy (already scheduled!)
Going to the dentist
Finishing six months of strength training
Creating a new class based on his book
Going on dates (at least one)
The far-right column? The hardest goals. The kind that stretch you, but also move your life forward in a meaningful way.
Visibility and Rewards
Mandi shares something she also uses with her coaching clients: pairing goals with rewards. Research shows that when goals are visual – and when you celebrate progress – you’re far more likely to follow through.
This approach turns goal-setting from pressure-filled and rigid into something flexible and motivating.
A Monthly Check-In and Accountability
One of the best parts? Amani and Mandi commit to checking in monthly on the podcast. Every bingo square checked off gets celebrated, whether it’s a dentist visit, a creative experience, or a big professional milestone.
And they’re inviting you to join in!
Your Turn
If Blue Monday is the day most people abandon their New Year’s resolutions, maybe this is your sign to try something different.
Make your own 2026 bingo card. Keep it short-term, add rewards, and make it fun. Then tell Amani and Mandi what’s on your card in the comments!
