In this fun, fast-paced mini episode, Amani and Mandi go back and forth sharing their aspirational podcast guests. From Kendra Scott to Kelly Clarkson, these guests all spark bigger conversations about business, branding, and courage.

Mandi’s Dream Guests

Kendra Scott

Mandi kicks it off with jewelry mogul and author Kendra Scott. There’s a personal connection here – Midwest roots, birthday traditions, and that iconic Born to Shine mindset. Mandi loves how Kendra blends assertiveness with kindness and creativity with business savvy.

But here’s what makes her so compelling as a guest: a strong brand identity, a customer-first experience, a deeply human leadership style, and a whole lot of stories behind building a powerhouse company.

Jesse Itzler

Next up: entrepreneur and speaker Jesse Itzler. They’ve asked before. He even said yes at one point. Then… team gatekeepers stepped in (which, honestly, is their job).

But Mandi’s not done. She’s planning to make the ask in person at an upcoming workshop. No overthinking; just keeping her “antenna up for the moment.”

Jen Gottlieb

Another near-miss was Jen Gottlieb. She was scheduled, then life and systems had other plans.

But what excites Mandi most is Jen’s work around speaking on stages – how it grows other parts of your business, when to charge, when not to, and how visibility fuels opportunity.

The Founders of Dude Wipes

Yes, Mandi’s talking about the four college friends behind Dude Wipes. It started as a coaching group introduction years ago. It turned into ordering boxes of wipes. Then, it turned into Mandi’s husband becoming a loyal customer.

She’s got some questions for them: How do four founders divide roles? What happens when they disagree? How do you scale from scrappy startup to major sports sponsorships?

Pat Croce

Mandi’s wildcard is personal: Pat Croce, former executive with the Philadelphia 76ers. His book I Feel Great and You Will Too was the first business/motivational book that shifted her mindset decades ago.

Adventures in Business has been 28 years in the making for Mandi. Bringing on the person who sparked that early mindset shift would be full circle.

Amani’s Dream Guests

AJ Vaden

Amani starts with AJ Vaden, co-founder of Brand Builders Group. He’s been in proximity before. The Nashville trip got canceled, but the plan is clear: make the ask in person.

Why her? Because she’s sharp. Strategic. And full of insight about building brands that last.

Amy Porterfield

Then comes course-creation queen Amy Porterfield. Amani shares three quotes that stopped him in his tracks:

  • “What is keeping you safe is keeping you stuck.”

  • “You have two big moments every year that push your business forward.”

  • “If you do not have a viable email list, you’ll not have a business in three years.”

He wants to unpack all of it, especially for listeners building scalable businesses.

Eric Thomas

Next up: motivational powerhouse Eric Thomas, also known as the “Hip Hop Preacher.”

Eric doesn’t do many podcasts, which means it would take creativity, persistence, and maybe a little flair to get him. But that’s the fun of it.

Kelly Clarkson

Singer, talk show host, and brand evolution master Kelly Clarkson is next. From American Idol winner to multi-platform personality, her career arc is fascinating from a business standpoint.

And let’s be real, this episode would be FUN. Amani’s other option: Jennifer Hudson. Same crossover brilliance.

Babyface

Amani’s wildcard remains legendary producer and musician Babyface. Music, longevity, reinvention… that episode would be an all-timer.

Thoughts Become Words, Words Become Action

Thoughts become words. Words become action. Action creates opportunity. When you say your goals out loud, something shifts.

Mandi calls it putting it into the universe. Amani calls it homework. Either way, they agree: They believe they can land 80% of these guests.

And if you’re listening and happen to know a guy who knows a guy… well, you know what to do!
