Looking Back at Launch Week

When Sales Tales launched in October 2021, Mandi was in the thick of pandemic pivots, moving contracts, and navigating the changing business landscape. Though she’d finished the book in 2019, the world had other plans. She delayed her search for a publisher, eventually signing with one in 2021, and then quickly moved into promotion mode.

She launched the paperback, hardcover, and Kindle editions all at once. But instead of bundling the audiobook with them, she saved that for a separate event months later, giving her two promotional pushes.

Four Years Later: A Book with Staying Power

Sales Tales continues to generate income and impact. Mandi still receives royalties from Amazon, Audible, and Ingram, and often sells copies in bulk for speaking events and quarterly webinars.

Her publisher once told her the book would take on a life of its own  and it has. She credits its success to the mix of funny stories and practical, tactical advice that continues to resonate with readers.

Lessons in Asking for Help

Mandi reflects on the incredible support she received from friends and colleagues during her launch. From logistics to moral support, she saw firsthand the value of asking for help. It’s a lesson that stuck with her and one she now pays forward by helping others launch their own creative projects.

What’s Next for Sales Tales

Even with a new book on the horizon (Business Bedside Manner), Mandi has big plans to expand the Sales Tales brand:

  • Sales Tales Live (for Entrepreneurs): A 70-minute virtual workshop launching in 2026 for business owners who want to improve their sales confidence and skills.

  • Wholesale Self Retreat: A curated event combining sales coaching, wellbeing, and personal development, designed for entrepreneurs seeking clarity and connection.
